LSUOdyssey has learned Current #LSU DL Analyst Gerald Chatman will be #LSU's interim D-Line Coach through Spring & will interview for the vacant job, however Brian Kelly and co are moving quickly on finding a potential replacement for Cain:
We have learned current Texas DL coach Bo Davis is an emerging candidate for #LSU's vacant DL gig. Davis is an LSU alum, graduating in 1992 before becoming a grad assistant, then assistant strength and conditioning coach.
Davis was also reportedly offered a job by Brian Kelly in December 2021.
I'm hearing another potential candidate, with major ties to both staff and players, is
USFL Houston Gamblers DL Coach Kwahn Drake. A known powerhouse in the DL world. Hearing a few interesting rumbles about him which point to something of an under dog who may just take the job away from the bigger names.
Kwahn Drake graduated from Tulane w/ his Master's; DL coach: massive part of back to back titles for St Augustine, he is a respected New Orleans recruiter with ties to Frank Wilson; he coached at Tulane, Drake, Memphis, Eastern Illinois & Colorado before being hired by former #LSU Head Coach Les Miles at Kansas from Dec. 2018 until Miles' sacking in 2021.
