Last time we told you about our recent conversations with athletic department brass, all of whom have indicated a group of 4 names which Woodward is already pursuing:

Oklahoma Head Coach Lincoln Riley "should be viewed as the front-runner", regardless of his $25,000,000 buyout or the fact that he'd need a contract around 11.5-13 million to leave Oklahoma, that deal is more than possible: it's just all on whether Lincoln wants to leave or not.

While Lincoln Riley is #1, and we've given a list of Mel Tucker, Billy Napier and Lane Kiffin as other Athletic Department Targets, I'm now told Napier shouldn't be #2 on my list.

I asked my source "why not?"

I am told there's a name that's always been there, hulking along in the background and waiting to return to Baton Rouge.

A name I didn't want to hear....

A man who agreed to coach LSU in 2016, only for Joe Alleva and this person to have a feud....

A man who wanted to be the Head Coach back in 2005....

An SEC coach with a national title already to his resume, another as an assistant at LSU, and two sons born in Louisiana....

I am told "do not sleep on Jimbo Fisher....he may just be the only guy Scott wants for the job..."

I asked "why would Woody want Jimbo so badly?"

The answer?

"Because he trusts him..."
