LSU NEARLY LOSE KAYSHON BOUTTE BEFORE TRANSFER DEADLINE

After Kayshon Boutte signed an extension on his NIL contract with high-powered Louisiana attorney Gordon McKernan, LSU football's 2022 prospects were saved by NIL once again.

With the future of an elite playmaker hanging in the balance for the second time since December, the Baton Rouge-based personal injury attorney rose up to save the Tigers from losing the team's best offensive (& overall) talent.

Already signed on with McKernan's law firm in the NIL arena, Boutte watched new Head Coach Brian Kelly's introduction to LSU from the sidelines wearing a protective boot over his injured ankle. During this time, there were subtle little problems back and forth between Kelly & Boutte, characterized mostly as "miscommunications", which ultimately led to renewed overtures from Saban's Alabama and Jimbo's Texas A&M.

Their offers became increasingly "innovative", enticing Boutte for the second time this off-season. Though I can't confirm this, I have a source close with the team telling me Kayshon told members of LSU's staff that "he was leaving" in the final days of April.....that was until Gordon McKernan struck a deal at the 11th hour.

Gordon's "extension" before the NCAA transfer deadline of May 1st was more of a......how should we say this....."continuance" payment and a rather large one, rumored to be "in the ballpark of $100,000" by my main source....a significant raise for the Tigers' elite wide out and future 1st round pick.

Regardless of what many may say, all that matters to me in this situation?

My main source is a friend of Kayshon's for "6 or 7 years" and someone close with the team who wishes to remain anonymous.
