(UPDATED NEW INFO @11:32AM MTN) ON THE DL: RECRUITING NEWS

by LONN PHILLIPS SULLIVAN

@LonnPhillips

We've been talking with parents of 2021 LSU recruits and a commit about their plans....and yet again, there'll surely be another Tigers meeting this weekend in Baton Rouge as Orgeron's men open their title defense against Mississippi State.

Not only will this be a huge game for LSU's mentality as they tackle the season ahead, it's also crucial in keeping the faith on the recruiting trail:

No, LSU isn't stopping their high octane, aggressive offensive attack...in fact, they're more full throttle, hell bent for leather than ever before.

And it'll be a great chance for Korey Foreman to see exactly how Bo Pelini may utilize the #1 player in America's brilliant strength and skill.

However, this won't just be a showdown for Foreman and Smith this weekend: they may be joined by someone from So Cal who loves LSU, a top commit looking to recruit for his future squad.

We will release anything we can when confirmed...until then read between the lines, stay plugged into LSU ODYSSEY and you'll know what's up.

Shhh...on the DL.

(UPDATE): We've received info from Rashad Davis Sr, father of #1 LB in the nation Raesjon Davis. The Davis fam were hoping to join their friends the Foremans this weekend in Baton Rouge, yet cannot make it.

However, Raesjon Davis and family WILL be in attendance for the Missouri game coming up soon at Death Valley and we need our fans to give the #1 LB in the country the biggest possible welcome.

Davis may have been screwed by the rankings, but we gotta realize just how valuable Raesjon is to this 2021 group. He not only recruited many of these guys over the line into commitments (Penn, Naquan, Saivion), he's already standing alongside Garrett Nussmeier as one of two established 2021 leaders.
