ORGERON DETAILS BRENNAN INJURY STATUS "INJURY IS SIGNIFICANT"

After speculation swirled and LSUODYSSEY.COM broke the national story about Brennan's injury and (as yet unofficially confirmed) surgery, Orgeron spoke and what he had to say backed up our sources 100%.

"He was not going to play last week (had LSU played Florida) and we expected him back early in the week, I'll have to talk to Jack (Marucci) but he's questionable for the game."

"He's had a significant injury to his lower body. Something which we do believe is going to heal, but we expected him back early this week but it's taking longer. I don't know if he's gonna play this game..." Coach O told the world via Zoom press conference about Myles' injury, with a stern tone.

"We thought an extra weekend of rest would help in Myles' case but it (the injury) didn't improve..." Coach Orgeron continued, facing yet another unlucky obstacle staring his team down.

Orgeron also said the extra week of rest greatly helped his team: "I asked Jack (Marucci) how are team was doing and he said they were 'beat up' and there were guys who could've used the rest."

At different times though, LSU's National Champion head coach addressed the Tigers freshmen quarterbacks:

"They both had fantastic weeks. I believe both Max and T.J have NFL talent. We're practicing with both. We told em whoever has the best week is gonna start. I wanna give both a chance during the game..."

"Max is a better scrapper than T.J, but if he needs to T.J can move," Orgeron also said about the mobility of each quarterback, (clearly the guy asking that question wasn't paying attention) everyone knows Max is an excellent rusher and T.J's a pocket passer.

"We'll see what South Carolina gives us on defense and who best suits to play them."

"I'm anxious to see what those two can do but right now Myles is our starting quarterback."
