FIRST CHAIN OF EVENTS REGARDING RAESJON:
Raesjon Davis will not be coming to LSU this season or any in the future unless it's through the transfer portal...yes, that's the truth...as told to his parents by an unnamed LSU coach.
I was told by a source first-hand an LSU coach told Raesjon's father Rashad: "there isn't a scholarship left for Raesjon. Coach O wanted him to sign early and he didn't...Coach O was very disappointed by that"....
As Coach O now told OTB "we're looking at multiple linebackers in the transfer portal" while you have the true #1 LB in America right here in Raesjon Davis, makes no sense...
What makes less sense?
Why LSU needed to act right now when Davis may have still picked the Tigers....
Is this a statement from Orgeron that his Tigers won't be held down by the pursuit of a single player?"
No matter how you slice it, cutting the cord from the best LB in America only two weeks before his announcement just doesn't sit right with me....this is one that will sting.
UPDATE 1/30/2021:
Yesterday, when talking to Raesjon's father, he revealed to me that LSU's LBs GA Alec Osbourne (the main man who successfully recruited Davis) has had some success in quieting down the tumultuous events we reported on the days before
It seems now, once again, LSU have sights on Raesjon Davis and are offering that scholarship to him once again....
I don't know...I don't get any of this situation to be honest....I don't get why LSU would've done this in the first place:
Was it to make Raesjon pledge his loyalty?
Was it to warn Raesjon that his other options outside of LSU aren't that great?
Either way it's appeared to calm the prior situation down, which is why we never posted a tweet or report officially on this VERY fluid situation.
It's hard to get information such as this, Geaux247 have no clue about this, Rivals are lost on Raesjon, but here at LSU ODYSSEY, we are as close as it gets to the situation.
I want Raesjon Davis to be a Tiger no matter what feelings were hurt or what underlying uncertainties there are....he would maximize his potential at LSU and his parents believe that as well.
I really have no idea where this situation is going to geaux next but I felt it was my duty, with the topsy turvy nature of this Raesjon Davis episode, to keep my subscribers 100% aware of all Tigers happenings.
This isn't over....

SHOUTOUTS: The Davis Family are great people, whether Raesjon comes to LSU or not, LSU fans can't be negative with this young man or his family. They're Grade A people and that's why LSU needs to do whatever it takes to make this happen. Rescinding scholarships is a bizarre way to make it happen, but if it works out in the end, fine.
