JAYDEN DANIELS CROWNED AP PLAYER OF THE YEAR

By LONN PHILLIPS SULLIVAN

On Thursday, LSU's starting quarterback Jayden Daniels collected his 3rd award of the week, taking home the Associated Press Player of the Year honor for his ruthlessly brilliant, explosive, and historic 2023 senior season.

Next to his Unitas Golden Arm & SEC Offensive Player of the Year, Daniels will now place the AP Player of the Year award on his mantle, becoming just the 2nd ever Tiger to win that award, following Joe Burrow (2019).

Daniels is about to sweep Awards season in the same manner as Joe Burrow, culminating in his expected victory during the Heisman ceremony....it's simply incredible what JD5 has done this season and it appears nothing is standing in his way as he ascends toward college football immortality.

Could not be more proud of the effort this young man gave which supplemented his God given skills. It take both to be the greatest.
