HAROLD PERKINS, AMERICA'S #1 LB, VISITING LSU ON A SATURDAY NIGHT

It's the final biting edge of recruiting season just before National Signing Day, one last bend in the road before judgement day (unless you're J.T Tuimoleau)....and LSU are welcoming an assortment of 2022 recruits & transfer portal targets alike.

You've seen the Walker Howard tape from just after Kelly's hiring, footage of Walker Howard's spinning dance with Coach Brian Kelly; now we've seen Kelly giving Saban a big middle finger by way of hip hop dance moves atop LSU's spinning wheel next to newest Alabama target Danny Lewis Jr.

LSU also welcomed America's #1 LB too, Harold Perkins, in Baton Rouge for the first time officially, and for the first time at all in what feels like a century, back in the summer of 2021 when things were wildly different on campus.

Presiding over his visit on Saturday was of course Frank Wilson, leading up efforts for the Tigers as expected; what wasn't expected was how integral Carter Sheridan's role has been in recruiting Harold.

LSU's WR / Passing Game Analyst is not only still with the team (as this site hoped) he's recruiting hard for the #1 linebacker in America.

Dean Petzing, a staffer who's hire this site broke first, was closely on hand for the entire visit, seen as someone with a close relationship with Harold.

Things weren't perfect regarding the family's relationship with LSU's top coaches and with future LBs Coach Matt House still coaching in Sunday's AFC Championship Game, it could be a small problem for the Tigers' pursuit of Harold.

It is evident the Perkins family understand just how good their son is, knowing the future he could have if he continues to progress at the same rate; there are staff concerns regarding how badly Perkins wants to be developed, or if he is listening to the plethora of chatter in and out each ear from his family & entourage...

There is a definite "star power fear" among LSU's newer staff members, wary of committing roster spots, scholarships, and a year-long spree of time & resources towards players who's very existence on roster is left up to a day to day roll of the dice.....still, these coaches feel 150% committed to signing the best players possible, hoping their culture & environment can help mould anyone into a team-first Tiger.

Sources described the visit as "walking on egg shells" at times, coupled with long stretches where Wilson, Petzing and Sheridan were able to really make a big impression on Perkins.

At the end of the day, I'm told the staff are resigned to "this one taking until the final seconds of NSD" with a confidence level of "6.5 out of 10".

He looks great in purple and gold, though.

I will post anything else I know in here, and keep paying attention to our Info Dump.
