The mystery surrounding John Emery Jr's 2023 availability continues to swirl up a mighty gust as LSU pursue and look set to sign a big name running back in the portal (Logan Diggs).

With academics again at the root of the issue regarding Emery Jr, including his quietly handled suspension from practices during Spring ball, all Tiger fans are wondering "will this be how the Emery Jr story ends at LSU?"

After talking with an extremely close source to John, I can tell you this person and John's family are relaxed and confident towards his eligibility this fall, indicating he'll be "ready for summer" and all academic marks are being met.

Now, we don't know for sure if that'll be the case, as this source isn't John Emery Jr himself, however, the tone was pretty resounding and unflinching to my endless interrogations.

Could Emery Jr be on track for a return in good standing this next month??

If our family source isn't fronting, then the answer is yes, despite all the uncertainty at the moment.

Though I'm still skeptical with what's gone down in the past, being told his academics were fine, only for a season-long suspension to unfold (followed by a 3 game suspension in 2022), I thought this intriguing conversation was worth sharing to you subscribers.

We're hoping John will be wearing his #4 when LSU strap up to play Florida State in Orlando, as he had an effective year for LSU last season and is a young man you can't help but root for.
