In what has been a whirlwind recruiting weekend for LSU football, the Tigers added a pair of 2024 commitments to their top 10 class while also pounding the pavement with one purposeful offer after another for a wide range of prospects:

As we covered on Friday night, highly-rated Destrehan LB Kolaj Cobbins committed to the Tigers, followed by Sunday morning's commitment by former Duke commit & Ruston High DE Ahmad Breaux: two more fantastic additions to an already burgeoning class pushing into the top 5 recruiting rankings.

Breaux has been compared to current Tiger Saivion Jones, with LSU Odyssey contributor A.D Perkins sending us this quote from a friend of his who's son played alongside Breaux: "....kid is very explosive with violent hands for a kid that young. He’s better than (Dylan) Carpenter who they took last cycle..."

Brian Kelly's staff started & finished the weekend strong, keeping two of Louisiana's top defenders in the state, yet they were far from done:

Throughout the weekend, the Tigers released a stream of offers, welcomed a number of visitors (including OL transfer target Mason Lunsford), and set down a marker for what could be the #1 recruiting class of 2024....all as LSU's recruiting machine continues to impress & raise the bar under Brian Kelly:

Below we try and list every single official visitor & offer from this weekend:

-DYLAN LEWIS (DB, Milton High, GA) 2025

Offers from Duke, Auburn, Louisville, Georgia Tech & Connecticut. CBs Coach Robert Steeples is taking the lead here.

-WILLIAMS NWANERI (DE, Lee's Summit, MO) 2024

LSU's DL Assistant Gerald Chatman offered the #1 overall DL prospect of the 2024 class this weekend, jettisoning the Tigers to the peak of the young man's recruiting pyramid.

-AERON BURRELL (K, Parkway High, LA) 2024

5 star kicker, ranked #1 by Kohl's (the special teams recruiting ranking machine), and a Louisiana product out of Bossier City. Recruited by Special Teams Coordinator John Jancek and Recruiting Kingpin Sherman Wilson.

-JOEL ROGERS (S, West Feliciana, LA) 2024

High 4 star safety out of Louisiana, Rogers received a highly anticipated offer from LSU this weekend; hanging out with Brian Kelly for a one on one visit, Rogers remained high on Safeties Coach Kerry Cooks' priorities list.

Such was Rogers' excitement from the visit and offer, I expect West Feliciana's highly versatile, ball-hawking, play-destroying safety to commit to LSU sooner rather than later.

-ETHAN BARBOUR (TE, Alpharetta High, GA) 2025

Mike Denbrock was on hand to welcome and entertain Barbour and his family; Barbour is yet another tight end prospect Denbrock is keeping tabs on.

-JALEN OWENS (DE/OLB, Oak Grove, MS) 2024

A 6'5, 260 pound edge rushing freak of nature who will be climbing high on the rankings as more scouts get a longer look at him. Expect more offers to come flying in for Owens.

-CASEY POE (OT/OG, Lindale High, TX) 2024

The Texas-native, standing an imperious 6'5, weighing a biblical 290, and capable of playing at both interior or outside edge positions, should be all over Brad Davis' offer sheet.

Poe loved his visit this weekend, describing it as "amazing, exceeded expectations" and wanting to immediately make good on his prior plans for another trip to Baton Rouge.

-CALEB HOLMES (OL, Creekside High, GA) 2024

The four star OL out of Georgia is another big time name to watch among Brad Davis' 2024 targets.

After a monumental 2022 OL haul (Jones, Campbell, Bordelon), continuing with an outrageous 2023 OL group (Heard, Adams, Chester), Brad Davis shows no signs of slowing down with Holmes and Poe (among others) on campus.

-DAVHON KEYS (LB, Aledo High, TX) 2024

The two time state champion (and #2 ranked LB in Texas) visited the Tigers this weekend, hanging out with Brian Kelly and Matt House for plenty of face time alongside his family. His father Scott posted some photos showing Keys dawning the purple & gold colors...looking right at home inside the Death Valley locker room.

Keys told LSUOdyssey his visit, "went well, I loved how friendly the coaches and staff were and really liked the campus."

When I asked Davhon "how it felt to be recruited by Matt House", Keys responded:

"It’s great, I know Coach House is very selective with his LB’s and it feels amazing to know that Coach House has the faith in me to lead the defense."

-JOSHUA LAIR (DB, Marshall High, TX) 2024

Offered by the Tigers two weeks ago, Joshua Lair had a strong junior campaign which earned him that highly sought after overture (54 tackles, 13 TFLs, 3 FF, 3 Sacks, 2 INTs (1 Returned for TD). In an exclusive conversation with LSUOdyssey, Lair said:

"It's a great environment, words cannot describe how much I enjoyed my LSU visit. The people, the family-oriented culture, the coaches...just everything."

-BLAKE FRAZIER (OL, Vandegrift, TX) 2024

A top 10 OL prospect and yet another high profile 2024 offensive lineman Brad Davis has dialed in: after watching Emery Jones and Will Campbell break records and shatter expectations as true freshmen OL starters, every big time trenchman across America is inspired enough to believe they can accomplish much of the same.

I am told Frazier is likely to commit.

-ZION KEARNEY (WR, Hightower, TX) 2024

An extremely physical, vicious, brutal wide out at 6'3 and over 200 pounds, Zion Kearney arrived on LSU's campus with only Oklahoma, Houston, Nebraska, Arkansas and Texas A&M in the Tigers' way of signing the Missouri City receiver.

-BRYCE UNDERWOOD (QB, Belleville, MI) 2025

Underwood is ranked as the #1 quarterback of the 2025 class for a very damn good reason:

As a freshman, Bryce led Belleville to the state championship, a 13-1 season, while tossing 2,888 yards, 39 TDs and just 4 interceptions. At 6'2, 200 pounds, holding 30 offers, Underwood's recruitment is about to turn 3-dimensional ahead of his epic junior campaign.

Truth is, Underwood is already a special quarterback....the fact that he could get better from here is frightening.

Jayden Daniels assisted QBs Coach Joe Sloan in recruiting Underwood, hosting Underwood throughout the weekend.

-JONATHAN DANIELS (OT, Pine Forest, FL) 2024

You thought Brad Davis was finished?

The #1 ranked Offensive tackle in America also visited LSU this weekend. Jonathan Daniels.

Standing 6'5 while weighing over 283 pounds, Florida and Miami may have the edge for Daniels, yet you can never count Brad Davis out of the running for any OL talent.

-XAVIER FILSAIME (S, McKinney, TX) 2024

An elite safety prospect Kerry Cooks has had his eyes on for some time, it was another masterstroke to get Filsaime on campus ahead of other competitors for his signature, such as Georgia, A&M and USC.

-KEYLAN MOSES (LB, University Lab, LA) 2025

The younger brother of former Alabama National Champion linebacker Dylan Moses, Keylan has proceeded to navigate his own way to the top.

Already a hotly pursued prospect at such a tender age, Moses is a young man who's continued to build upon his blossoming relationship with defensive coordinator / LBs Coach Matt House.

It was another massive stroke of genius getting Moses on campus for the junior day event.

(UPDATES)

TE Ethan Barbour with Coaches Terry Malone & Mike Denbrock

-JUSTIN GREENE (DE, Mountain View, GA) 2024

The four star, ESPN & On300 prospect out of Dacula, Georgia took over LSU's campus this weekend, hanging out with Coach Jamar Cain, enjoying a meet and greet with Head Coach Brian Kelly, and had fun during his photo session as he met many of LSU's coaches and staffers. After some film study, Greene is a terrific edge rushing presence, showcasing dynamic tackling against the run as well.

-JELANI WATKINS (WR, Klein Forest, TX) 2024

A speedy burner at 5'9 and only 160 pounds, Watkins' main strength is, of course, his rarefied track speed. Earning an LSU offer during the last weekend, Jelani is now a bonafide LSU target, with Cortez Hankton identifying Watkins' irresistible speed on the outside or in the slot.

-MARCUS MASCOLL (OT/OG, South Gwinnet, GA) 2024

Another elite OL prospect, perhaps an under the radar product out of Georgia's South Gwinnet.

Impressed by Brad Davis, Marcus Mascoll dished all about his visit to LSU in an exclusive with LSU Odyssey:

"The coaching staff was great, and the energy was there. It’s just being on campus for the first time, I just got that vibe, and I got to talk to Coach Davis, Coach Demeo, and Coach Kelly. Coach Kelly is a great guy, man. We talked, and it was a great conversation about me and my development. They are at the top of my list right now."

-TERRANCE HIBLER JR (DT, Holmes County, MS) 2024

One of the country's rising DTs also visited LSU alongside the aforementioned edge rushing talents: Defensive tackle Terrance Hibler joined up with Jamar Cain, Brian Kelly, and Coach Chatman for some meet and greets, photo ops, and a solid foundation forged.
