HOW COULD BRIAN KELLY LET SIMEON BARROW LEAVE WITHOUT SIGNING???

Yes, the former Michigan State defensive tackle visited Baton Rouge the past few days, and yes, the visit was successful, like all visits to the Tigers' campus....but will it be fruitful in the end???

While we placed a Crystal Ball for LSU to eventually sign Simeon Barrow, it doesn't mean other schools won't be trying to poach him....and Miami are doing just that, securing a visit from Barrow this weekend.

It's just a visit, not a commitment to Miami....but of course, LSU's staff really wanted to lock him down during his Baton Rouge stay, still, let's not kid ourselves, it would've been very very very strange If the #1 rated DT didn't receive attention from any another schools during a window where some top programs are hyper focused on DL, specifically DT.

Not locking 'em down during visits isn't always a sign that LSU weren't aggressive enough, sometimes it's just due diligence.

Miami Head Coach Mario Cristobal is hitting him up, it's his last chance to be recruited, if LSU have done enough, they should feel comfortable until we see traction picking up Miami's way.

It seems Barrow is aiming for a title and NFL Draft ascendancy, yet things can change when money is involved.....if Miami throws the bag, then things could move away from LSU if he's motivated by a major NIL partnership & deal.

I still don't feel any pressure to change my Crystal Ball pick just yet, I still like LSU's position right now, however, we will have to see what transpires during Barrow's travels over the coming days.

One thing that does worry me far more than a Miami visit???

Although I was told he had a "great time" during the multi-day visit, there is a lack of posts about the visit from Barrow, no apparent public enthusiasm....no live streams or photos posted from the visit....it's a small detail, and maybe he's not much of a social media guy, but it's one little factor to keep an eye on.
