Making our first Armella prediction & sticking with it on June 9th, we've always had the OT out of Florida on our predictions list:
We believe St Thomas Aquinas' OT Julian Armella will be headed to Louisiana State University, ending a long saga and cycle which geauxs clear back to the 90s when Coach Ed Orgeron failed to sign his father Enzo.....losing Enzo III to Florida State.
There will be no such outcome this time with Julian Armella, Enzo's son and a teammate of two different Tigers (Marcus Dumervil & Marlon Martinez) and one current 2022 Tiger commit (Mason Taylor).
On the final day before the dead period, Enzo Armella drove clear from the Miami area all the way to Baton Rouge to meet with LSU's staff, both Coach O and new OL Coach Brad Davis.
On the way home, all Enzo could do was talk to family and friends about what a great feeling he had from his own personal visit. Though his son was able to check out LSU's campus & facilities himself (chaperoned by St Thomas Aquinas coaches), his father needed that last piece of reassurance.
PREDICTION: ARMELLA TO LSU
From everything I hear, this is a slam dunk and word should be expected at some point over the next while from Jules. While he's most likely going to wait for his fall visits until making a decision, it appears he's nearing a decision.
