In the aftermath of LSU's 40-13 beatdown at the hands of Josh Heupel's Tennessee Volunteers, there are a few concerns for Brian Kelly's staff....issues which could linger for weeks after.

We will update this over the next 24 hours...stay tuned: save and refresh this page whenever you think about it & want the information LSUOdyssey are consistently ahead at providing:

INJURY REPORT

GARRETT DELLINGER

- Everyone witnessed OL Garrett Dellinger, already playing on a broken hand, leaving the field in plenty of pain, limping his way to the sidelines with arms wrapped around trainers. As Brian Kelly was able to disclose, Dellinger suffered a knee injury.

While likely a sprain or strain of some kind, there are fears it could be a worse injury, maybe even a ligament tear (I'm told PCL or MCL).

The scans coming up will tell the tale, but there is a serious likelihood, playing on a broken hand & a messed up knee, that we could see Dellinger shut down until November at the earliest....and that is a best case scenario.

WEST WEEKS

-During a special teams play, sophomore LB West Weeks was blocked low on the leg, hurting his ankle & sending him to the locker room. He returned to the sidelines without his pads later on in the game, his foot in a walking boot.

Speaking with Weeks' father among other sources, it appears he has an "ankle sprain", looking to be nothing too serious; still, the injury is problematic if he's hoping to appear in the Florida game this weekend.

Most likely Weeks will be out for a week, possibly two.

JAY WARD

-Registering just a single tackle while missing 30 total snaps (a rarity for the constantly flying around DB), Ward looked to have exacerbated his knee injury from a couple weeks ago. Though his substitution from a game LSU was already losing by 20+ points may have also been out of an abundance of precaution.

Being such an important part of our defense, Ward's availability is one to monitor, for sure.

WILL CAMPBELL

-We know the "medical emergency" Campbell suffered was indeed a seizure, something i have personal experiences with myself.

We pray for his healing immediately.

After talking to our sources in and around the program, I'm starting to think Campbell could return on the 22nd to face Ole Miss, with an optimistic feeling he could be back for Florida being a little "too optimistic".

ZAVIER CARTER

-LSU's sophomore defensive end is still out with a lingering arm / shoulder issue, suffered against New Mexico. We haven't seen Carter since that moment, occurring on kickoff return coverage.

The highly skilled Carter has 1 forced fumble this season on special teams (opening play vs Southern), yet he hasn't been utilized at defensive end much at all.
