On Saturday evening, LSU welcomed a wide ranging group of top high school prospects across the country, and one of the most intriguing is without a doubt 2026's 3rd ranked QB, American Heritage signal-caller Dia Bell.
The two sport star has a tight relationship with Coach Joe Sloan, and alongside his father, longtime former NBA veteran & All-Defensive 1st Teamer Raja Bell, Dia hung out for LSU's beatdown of Auburn, followed by time visiting Coach Sloan, meeting QB Jayden Daniels, and taking in the sights, sounds, and wild atmosphere of Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night vs an SEC rival.
LSUOdyssey.com caught up with the highly prized 2026 QB to gather his thoughts and impressions on a great night inside Tiger Stadium, as well as his recruiting future ahead:
LONN: How did it all go down and tell me a bit about your experiences at LSU?
DIA: Thanks! LSU was a really cool visit. I already had a great relationship with Coach Sloan and loved everything about their offense. Getting to spend some time with Coach in person and see the offense live was really cool! The fans and the game day experience itself was incredible. The recruiting staff was great with all of the recruits. I can’t wait to get back up to visit again.
LONN: Who spent the most time with you and your family and also made the best impression with you guys?
DIA: Coach Sloan and I have been developing our relationship since September. I spoke with a few Coaches, but my Dad and I spent the most time with Coach Sloan. It's kinda hard on a game day. There are a lot of recruits and the coaches are trying to get ready for the game. Coach Sloan was awesome!
LONN: What is your visit schedule looking like & when do you think would be your next trip to Baton Rouge?
DIA: I will be at Ohio St on 10/21 and Penn St on 10/28. I will have to see after that. We will be in playoffs. I plan to be back in Baton Rouge in January so I can get a chance to see the school better and spend more time with the staff.
