ARMONI GOODWIN RB
Goodwin has been a player we've kept our eyes on...we can point to a variety of summer recruiting articles detailing how we felt Armoni could be flipped from Auburn to LSU....and now the flip is happening.
Due to the ousting of Auburn's run-game master & head coach Gus Malzahn after 9 years and two National Championship game appearances (1 win as an assistant, 1 last second loss as a head coach), we feel now is the best time to predict a Goodwin flip.
We didn't think LSU were so hungry for running back help, but given Corey Kiner's tweet saying "I need all LSU fans following me to let Armoni Goodwin know how good we would be in a backfield together!" we've seen huge movement behind the scenes as Faulk put the pedal down to the floor and accordingly, Goodwin will sign with LSU tomorrow.
There's also talk LSU could be geauxing for a trio of running backs in this class, we'll tell you who the next target is in our Ultra Feast piece:
Armoni has been worked hard by RBs Coach Kevin Faulk for months and months, yet the assist from "Mr. Ohio" juggernaut Corey Kiner has brought Goodwin to the table faster than any strategy previously employed.
Goodwin is an LSU commitment waiting to happen, one we believed Faulk could pull off way back in the summer too....we'll see tomorrow, but I have a strong sense Goodwin is coming to join Kiner at Louisiana State....let's say 99.9%.
