TDP, Mike Jones Jr, Sampah, Josh White, Jack Bech, Deion Smith, Chris Hilton Jr, Jaquelin Roy, Neil Farrell Jr, theres a lotta guys who could pop, but because your question was who's the most obscure guys to explode this year? Pig Cage, Farrell Jr, Jay Ward is known to LSU fans but not on the national stage, Jordan Toles could take that mantle, freshman Sage Ryan really should explode in my opinion alongside Jack Bech. Many candidates, many names.

If everything meshes well with new staff and players, how do you see season playing out? What do you project at this very early timeframe as the most exciting matchup at home? Great articles and information as always thanks Lonn.

If everything geauxs like we hope, really no one can claim LSU wouldn't be in that conversation of "if we beat Alabama, we're in the SEC title game and will most likely be in the CFP playoff". I think that's not only realistic, this team's roster, direction, mentality and potential, on the field, on staff, in the stands with our crazy energy back in the stadium, I feel like there's only one team capable of beating us and even they should fall short.

But games are never won on paper: I expect it to be a down year for both Florida and Alabama, a year where LSU and UGA are really those two SEC national powers.

Expect us to play…

Hi Lonn, appreciate your site and news. Couple of Questions Do we get Armella, Wiggins and Perkins? Does Brad Johnson start at UCLA? How good will our Defense be this year?

If LSU are willing to let Brad Johnson put on the purple & gold vs UCLA, then why not? But I think his son Max will be more likely.


I think LSU are more than likely to at least be guaranteed 2 of those 3 players, with a toss up for any of the 3, but I feel at least 2 of those guys come to LSU....still very early but check out our Recruiting Predictions piece from last week, covers everything and lays out our opinions on every recruit and their future destination etc.


How good will our defense be this year?

That's a great question, too, but I feel we'll be a completely different unit.
