LONN: So Austin...what was your favorite part of the weekend?
AUSTIN: Talking to all the coaches.
LONN: Which coaches in particular did you talk to most?
AUSTIN: Coach O, Daronte (Jones), (Corey) Raymond, and (Blake) Baker.
LONN: If there was one word you could use to describe LSU, what would it be?
AUSTIN: Big time.
LONN: Have you ever really watched your father Verge's film from his era at LSU?
(Verge Ausberry, currently LSU's Executive Assistant Deputy Athletic Director, was once the Tigers' leading tackler at LB for two consecutive seasons in the late 80s).
AUSTIN: Yes!
LONN: What do you think about his legacy and what you and your brother Jaiden can add to that?
AUSTIN: I think he had a great legacy and the most I can do to add on to it is by being a great person.
LONN: What's your biggest goal of 2021?
AUSTIN: To win state.

LONN: You guys came up short vs St Thomas More last year, just by 7 points. What lessons have you learned from that game when you've watched the film?
AUSTIN: Just to be more focused overall.
LONN: Who's the player you model your game after most?
AUSTIN: Sean Taylor.
LONN: You just got me very juiced up....Sean Taylor is one of my all time favorite players, definitely one of my ultimate childhood heroes, too. What sets you apart from the other safeties in your class?
AUSTIN: My versatility.
LONN: How have LSU been pursuing you? Has it been intense, more relaxed and chill, or full on and nonstop?
AUSTIN: Intense...and I love it.
LONN: Who's Leading the way for your signature? Is It Daronte Jones?
AUSTIN: Yes!
LONN: Austin, what has Daronte Jones done to get to know you better on the recruiting trail?
AUSTIN: Everything. He has talked to my whole family and we've had long talks and convos.
