According to multiple sources in and around the team, LSUOdyssey has learned that Head Coach Brian Kelly and LSU will move on from defensive coordinator Matt House after 2 seasons.

Expected to return for year 3, the former Super Bowl winner with the Kansas City Chiefs won't be back for a 3rd season in Baton Rouge after careful consideration by Head Coach Brian Kelly.

LSU had the 105th ranked defense in 2023, allowing the 15th most total yards in CFB, allowing 416 per game, 6.14 per play and allowed 28 points per game on average, including giving up over 500 yards on regular basis.

We'll see who Head Coach Brian Kelly selects as his next defensive coordinator in the coming weeks.

Also, as LSU confirmed themselves via press release 15 minutes after this article was posted, the Tigers will fire DL Coach Jimmy Lindsey, who never coached a game from the sidelines due to a medical emergency curtailing his time at LSU, as well as DBs Coaches Robert Steeples & Kerry Cooks, effectively letting go of their entire 2023 defensive staff.
