Junior LSU linebacker Whit Weeks is officially cleared for all football activities, recovering ahead of schedule from his broken fibula and dislocated ankle (suffered in the final game of last season vs Baylor).
Leading the SEC in solo stops last fall, Weeks became a national talking point for the Tigers when he replaced the injured Harold Perkins in Blake Baker's starting lineup, ultimately ascending to an unbenchable level, producing 120 total tackles, 61 solo, 4 PBUs, 3.5 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles, 2 sacks, and his magical, Mathieu-esque interception @ Arkansas inside the 5 yard line.
Weeks registered 3 performances with 15+ tackles, including his SEC Defensive Player of the Week outing vs Ole Miss (18 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble and 1 pass broken up in the historic overtime win).
Weeks is slated to start as the "WLL" linebacker for LSU as they kickoff the season @ Clemson.
