Despite Brian Kelly's early statements about Weeks "still being in a boot, unable to put weight on his ankle" while the team still holds out for a chance he can play vs Texas A&M, LSU LB Whit Weeks is OUT vs A&M due to his ankle, sources confirm, hoping an extra week & the bye week to follow will give him enough time to heal for the trip to Tuscaloosa to play Alabama in early November.

LSU are 0-5 when Whit Weeks isn't available or doesn't start (2023 vs Florida State, vs Ole Miss, vs Alabama; 2024 vs USC; 2025 vs Vandy). The Tigers did win against Baylor & Florida in 2024 and 2025 without Weeks for the majority of the game, however in both games, Weeks started.
