Since Coach O returned to the program, LSU have constantly grabbed top Louisiana talent, Ja'Marr Chase, Derek Stingley, Kayshon Boutte, Sage Ryan, Maason Smith, Will Campbell....now it's time to keep another in-state WR titan home...
Walker High's Brian Thomas Jr is a commitment announcement waiting to happen...coming any day now...before, on or after February 3rd...
I have key info which provides indications of a late LSU lean away from the previous Bama/A&M exorcism from before...
There is a big web of factors at play which will decide this whole thing: either
A. The allure of staying home, playing alongside bro Chris Hilton in purple and gold just like Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase may be too much for Brian to pass up.
B. The intense recruiting by Jimbo Fisher's A&M staff could've broken through the shell, especially due to the family's Texas connections and love for the Dallas Cowboys of course...Texas isn't a reach.
C. He was stolen away by Devonta Smith's brilliance in breaking Chase's TDs record (although Smith was unable to snap Ja'Marr's yards record in a title game) and may be sworn into the cult of Saban??!?!?

Over the past year and a half, it's been hard to gather anything on Brian, but from what I've heard coming from a Baton Rouge source is LSU's Mickey Joseph and Chris Hilton have been able to make a big impact, forcing a late LSU lean. A Walker High source also revealed Tigers coaches talking often with Thomas and the conversations being positive. Just last night, a media luminary & Louisiana local let me know rather firmly "Coach O ain't letting a dude like Thomas Jr go anywhere except LSU."
I've heard even more over the last 48 hours about LSU's hardcore push for Brian reaching new heights, with Mickey Joseph doing whatever possible within NCAA regulations to secure Thomas Jr's unbridled receiving services. I'm hearing Coach O put Thomas Jr through to a one on one meeting (via Zoom) with an as yet unnamed LSU receiving great.
Looks like Louisiana State are rolling out a massive purple and gold carpet for BT!
I know Thomas will be dreading this decision and will be relieved to get past this stage of the process...knowing his temperament from our limited interaction, massive research and overwhelming analysis, I've come to the conclusion LSU will be very lucky if he signs considering the intense SEC West competition, all the noise coming at the young man from 3 extremely different, intensely bitter and demonstrably competitive sides, ...and yet, I feel he will sign on the dotted line, if not on NSD, than later on perhaps...
I feel Brian Thomas Jr will become a Tiger.
