DARRIN STREY
(OT Kentucky, Red Shirt Freshman)
Following his offensive line coach at Kentucky down further South to Baton Rouge, Darrin Strey joined back up with newly appointed LSU OL Coach Eric Wolford.
Securing the services of a solid physical titan, Wolford knows all about Strey and what he can deliver, with the two sharing plenty of history together amid SEC combat, despite Strey's lack of total snaps.

Strey is a colossus, standing 6 foot 7 and weighing over 320 pounds, but he's young (4 years of eligibility remaining), he's inexperienced (played only 3 games at Kentucky in 2025), so Strey has some developing to do....
Still, the former 4 star is one you must keep your eyes on....
Rated the #2 overall prospect in Michigan and the 23rd overall offensive tackle (rated by On3), Strey started 4 seasons for his father Dennis at Paw Paw High School, doubling up on defensive line as well, Strey set school records concerning tackles for loss (single season TFLs and career) while also throwing discus in track.
Primarily a right tackle, Strey could be a key piece to LSU's 2026 offensive line, providing critical depth (and direct competition vs Weston Davis) at a position of real trouble last season.

Perhaps a stunner who could steal a starting spot at right tackle opposite Jordan Seaton, or a steadily building project player over the next few seasons, I like Strey's gritty, grindhouse, meat and potatoes film full of aggression...
Hopefully we will see his film translate to the collegiate level during his time at LSU, but right now, Strey still has a lot to prove and fight for over the Spring, Summer and Fall.
