-Total yardage is down from 431.5 to 364.2, averaging 5.5 per play.
-LSU are 28/66 on 3rd down opportunities, completing 42.4% of the time.
-LSU have converted 110 first downs over 5 games, 65 through the air, 29 on the ground, and 16 via penalty
-LSU's passing yards per game is at 259.4, down from 315.2 in 2024.
-The Tigers rush for just 104.8 each game for 3.6 per carry
-Over 3 out of LSU's 5 games, their leading rusher totaled 56 yards or fewer (another vs Clemson where Durham put up 71), with a low of 20 yards by Harlem Berry vs Ole Miss leading the way this past weekend.
-Joe Sloan's offense has scored 15 TDs through 5 games, and outside of the Southeastern game, LSU's offense has only scored a game high of 23 points, scoring fewer than 20 on a pair of occasions (vs Clemson & Ole Miss) and 20-23 against two other opponents.
-No LSU Tiger rusher or receiver has topped the 100 yard mark over the first 5 games (Aaron Anderson at 99, Barion Brown at 94 & Caden Durham at 93 came close, mostly due to a singular chunk play)
-Two of LSU's more recognized & talked about offensive players, Chris Hilton Jr and Trey'Dez Green, have just 47 yards combined, 6 catches, and 1 TD over 5 games.
-Averaging 7.2 offensive penalties every 4 quarters.
-Something Brian Kelly vocally said he wanted to avoid in 2025: Nussmeier leading the SEC in passing attempts....but once again, his quarterback is a frontrunner regarding attempts, and completions (due to LSU's rushing aversion under Sloan's offensive regime): completing 115 of his whopping 171 attempts thus far.
-QB Garrett Nussmeier was sacked 16 times over 13 games last year. This season Nuss has already been sacked 7 times through 5 games.
-QB Garrett Nussmeier has completed 7 passes over 20 yards from 23 overall attempts.

Brian Kelly has never managed his staff effectively since he has been here. He has let good people go, and more often than not made mistakes with replacements. Though he has rebuilt the roster, his development and utilization of personnel is spotty. The buck must always stop with the person in charge.
