IT'S TIME: LSU vs USC...THE HYPENESS

The night before LSU kicks off their 2024 campaign here in Las Vegas and the police sirens moan, the pool water pisses out a leaking confusion, and the palm trees obscure the psychedelic lights just briefly....there is a stillness of the desert air....a calm before the storm....

It is a Saturday night where the wild things are and have come out tonight to play, but LSU Head Coach Brian Kelly orchestrated LSU's arrival for 6pm this evening....barely time for any shenanigans or craziness to go on....even with Louisiana legends, comedian Theo Vonn and hip hop beast Lil Wayne, appearing in the same hotel as the team, this is a pure business trip.

There is only one option for this LSU team.....to beat USC...at any cost.

While this should be a statement game, a moment to flex SEC muscle upon a crew of Gavin Newsome loyalists, every LSU player, coach and fan will gladly accept victory however it arrives....but defeat is not an option for Brian Kelly's LSU.

Despite an opening loss being far from a death knell in today's 12 team playoff structure, we all know how toxic, raging and hard to shake Week 1 criticism is....the overreactions become biblical and the anger pent up.

This LSU squad will improve as the season goes on, undoubtedly, but they must be ready to come out of the gates in a blind fury....

At the end of the day, it's all about the right players being on the field and making the right plays at the right time....LSU possess all the ingredients to win and even win big on Sunday night.

But the whole world is wondering, collectively.....can they do it???

It's time for LSU to send a message to the world....don't you dare compare us to USC ever again....

I will simply say. Keep our players healthy, play to their best ability, and coach hard. The rest will take care of itself.
