Only allowing 4 sacks in nearly 1,500 snaps at the collegiate level, giving up just a single sack and 5 total pressures for Colorado last campaign, LSU's new starting left tackle looks to be worth every penny.

The #1 ranked offensive lineman of the 2026 portal, Jordan Seaton is the exact elite wing presence LSU needed to really bridge the O-line gap.

Losing both depth and starters via the portal, LSU needed a mixture of bodies, they needed to bring in guys who could start right now, and most of all, an elite tackle....

They did that to some degree...yet still, the Tigers absolutely had to sign a powerhouse, cornerstone O-line talent on the outside, someone who could become the wing anchor flanking trusted returning center Braelin Moore....someone who could protect Sam Leavitt's blindside, giving the top rated QB full dual threat confidence as he recovers from a severe ankle injury......that someone turned out to be Jordan Seaton.

Ending a long recruiting battle that was starting to turn into a full blown saga, Seaton's recruitment became a back and forth NIL-era chess match where relationships, next level branding, and NFL development made more of an impact on his final decision...

Who would get on the plane, with the bag, the plan and the pedigree, and go sign Seaton...once and for all???

The answer was Head Coach Lane Kiffin, GM Billy Glasscock and OL Coach Eric Wolford & OL analyst James Cregg working together and supplying Seaton with the best developmental plan for his NFL future.

Despite plenty of whispers about an extravagant major money contract being Seaton's prime motivation, I can tell you that's not true....or he would've committed to Oregon.

At the same time, just because LSU weren't ready to let financial branding become the sole primary focus, doesn't mean their deal was cheap...by any means, with early figures told to LSUOdyssey ranging around the $2 million mark.

For LSU's offensive line needs, Seaton will most likely (barring injury or personal calamity) be worth every penny...

Sporting fast, wicked hands, and quick, fortified footwork, solid recovery balance, brilliant football IQ, and an overall aggressive intensity, LSU hasn't signed an offensive lineman this complete since Will Campbell, and dare I say it, Seaton's athleticism and domineering measurables may afford him an even higher ceiling than LSU's former starter & 4th overall pick.
