One of Louisiana's elite defensive back prospects isn't just a cornerback....
Over the last few seasons at Lafayette Christian Academy, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2024 recruit Ju'juan Johnson has led the Knights at quarterback, with LCA winning three consecutive state championships in 2018, 2019 and 2020 before making yet another title game last year, only coming up just short in their quest for a record-tying four-peat.
Completing 17 TD passes for over 1,600 yards through the air (5 touchdown passes over 50+ yards) as he rushed for 6 touchdowns through 6 games, the LCA QB helped the Knights rack up 49 and 56 points over their last two games, leading former LSU Tiger Legend Trev Faulk's squad to a 5-1 record.
Discussing his future position with LSUOdyssey earlier this year, Ju'juan told us his collegiate position would be far away from the offensive backfield he currently inhabits....Johnson would in fact be plying his trade at cornerback:
"Colleges were talking to my uncle about it and I decided to do it. They was just talking about me playing a different position. Some said "WR", some (said I should play) "DB". I think it was Miss State that first asked if I would be open to playing other positions."
Now following a camp season where he drilled at cornerback against top talents from his class, garnering strong evaluations while appearing to be blessed with a natural born DB skill set, every top program in America, from LSU to Alabama, are monitoring Louisiana's top 2024 cornerback....
Visiting Death Valley this past Saturday alongside a host of 2024 class luminaries, LSUOdyssey.com wanted to catch up with LCA's talisman to discuss his LSU recruitment in detail:
LONN: How did your visit at Death Valley go this weekend, Ju'juan??
JU'JUAN: It went really well, enjoyed myself!
LONN: Nice!! How was it talking to the coaches??
JU'JUAN: I met with Coach Kelly and Coach Steeples with my family.
LONN: Fantastic! How did those conversations go?
JU'JUAN: Just talked about how they really feel like I can be an asset to what they are building and just showing me that I’m priority for them.
LONN: How well did it go compared to other visits with the Brian Kelly staff?
JU'JUAN: (LSU) just showed me that they really want and need me genuinely this meeting. I really appreciated that they took time out to meet with me one on one.
LONN: They want you bro, we need you at LSU. Was this your first time at Death Valley?
JU'JUAN: No I been before, first time this year.
LONN: What stood out to you about LSU, as a program, seeing it all up close once again?
JU'JUAN: Culture, people from Da Boot love football!
LONN: What stood out to you about Brian Kelly and his staff????
JU'JUAN: Very professional.
LONN: How's your relationship with DBU CBs Coach Robert Steeples???
JU'JUAN: It’s great!
LONN: Can you expand? What makes your recruit-coach relationship great?
JU'JUAN: Idk just great (laughs), he’s a cool dude. Put it like this, I feel I can talk to him about anything. Really good person.
LONN: I like him a lot, too!!! Where are LSU now on the scale for you? Did they move up?
JU'JUAN: Honestly I have a few more visits to make then I’ll know where everyone sit.
LONN: Who's next up for you on the visiting schedule?
JU'JUAN: Texas and Georgia.
LONN: When are you expecting to announce your decision? This spring, summer or wait for another round of visits and in-season trips next fall?
JU'JUAN: Keeping the date quiet for right now but I do have a date.

Nice get and interview. Long way to go with this young man. He is complimentary but still holding his cards close to the vest. I think that makes sense rather than knee jerking.
