LONN: Hey Ju'juan, how was camping this past weekend inside Death Valley?

JU'JUAN: Camp was great!

LONN: How do you feel you balled out there?

JU'JUAN: Did good, have a lot to work on still. I ain’t full time DB yet, I’m still playing QB (laughs).

LONN: Was there anything specific you wanted to work on?

JU'JUAN: Just wanted to get some work in at DB with Coach Steeps (CBs Coach Robert Steeples) and also was able to catch some punts with Coach J, special teams coordinator (Coach John Jancek).

LONN: What was that like working with Coach Steeples, as a preview for your future at DBU?

JU'JUAN: Great! He’s a great teacher, along with his experience from college and NFL and him being the man he is, I can’t wait to get with everyday.

LONN: What is the plan for this fall, as far as splitting the reps between quarterback and cornerback? Or will it just be purely QB?

JU'JUAN: I'm playing QB. Only if team needs (then) I’ll play DB. Yea it will be situational.

LONN: How do you feel another season without playing cornerback will impact your development at the collegiate level? JU'JUAN: I’m going to focus on this year, this football season and trust the process once I get to LSU. I’m coming in to learn and compete right away, though.

We have had great success with moving QBs to DBs. Hoping this young man is the next one.
