Some may argue Kayshon Boutte already blew up on the scene after his 308 yard showcase vs Ole Miss, breaking Legendary LSU WR Josh Reed's record from 2001....yet somehow, the New Iberia, Louisiana-native is still waiting on the love.

Maniacally, it seems the national media glossed over Kayshon Boutte's entire freshman year, a topsy turvy debut where the former Westgate mastermind stood out in the Swamp at Florida, was robbed of a showtime TD vs A&M, had his head nearly taken off by a nasty hit vs Arkansas, racked up yards or explosive plays vs Alabama, and scored the only touchdown against Auburn.

Unfairly, Kayshon was more on Sportscenter for accidentally, infamously fumbling the ball at the 3 yard line vs the Tide than his major playmaking. Despite the ball being quickly recovered and punched in by a heads-up Jontre Kirklin play, Boutte took plenty of freshman heat and razzing from all sides in the wake of his DeSean Jackson-esque gaffe.

While the LSU Touchdown Machine's electric outings against Florida and Ole Miss erased all doubts when judging his abilities, especially breaking a record that was set when he was still in the womb, some foolishly dismissed Boutte as "undersized and overhyped."

Those fools couldn't be more pathetically wrong.

2021 is the year Kayshon Boutte will really take firm control of that Josh Reed / Ja'Marr Chase / Justin Jefferson / Odell Beckham Jr mantle as LSU's next NFL-ready superstar receiver....

The world will be powerless to escape the Bayou Blur's greatness this time around.

During the upcoming season, whenever Myles or Max / Max or Myles are stuck in a dangerous situation, our QBs realize they only need to deliver the ball to our SEC record-breaker, get outta the way, and let him do the rest; also, when scrambling out of the pocket, our QBs will look to hit Boutte continuously on the secondary route....a "wrinkle" which devastated SEC opponents who could barely guard or track him in the first place.

And while outside next to WRs Koy Moore, Jaray Jenkins, Jack Bech, Deion Smith, Jontre Kirklin, Chris Hilton Jr, Trey Palmer, Malik Nabers, Alex Adams or Brian Thomas Jr, Kayshon will have every chance to not only get his numbers and mingle with history, he will bolster his teammates thanks to the microscopic attention he'll receive from here on out.

I really wonder........with Scott Linehan anywhere near a play-calling sheet last year, as Boutte fought through an ankle injury, Kayshon still broke an SEC record set 6 months before he was born.....so, this season under Jake Peetz's innovative match-up idolatry, how many records could #1 snap as a sophomore??

Records could be shattered, Kayshon's contributions will most likely win games for the Tigers, and a Biletnikoff Award in 2021 isn't out of the question.... however the main thing I feel is much more important for the Tigers?

Just how much confidence Kayshon Boutte affords his teammates....not only through their belief in his All-American abilities, but in how the Early Doucet clone's playmaking helps his teammates redefine & transcend their own limitations.

Don't be surprised if Boutte goes up to New York and brings home another LSU Biletnikoff...

Don't be shocked if he develops so fluidly that he feels compelled to declare for the NFL Draft next winter.....

....and do not be blown away if both Stingley and Boutte are selected within the top 10 picks of the 2022 NFL Draft....though we are getting waaaaay ahead of ourselves.

For now, just enjoy the multi-dimensional, interstellar talents of Kayshon Boutte while we still can.

2021 STAT PROJECTIONS:

Where does Kayshon rank in our Top 10 of 2020? A full freshman game by game profile.

You won't even believe these predictions, but there they are, locked in on July 1st 2020....and yes, we predicted Kayshon would grab THOSE numbers with Chase, Marshall and Gilbert still on roster. LSU Odyssey always believed in Kayshon.

SHOUTOUTS: Kayshon, you could be the G.O.A.T LSU WR if you want to be...if you stay 3 seasons, maybe even play a 4th, you have the freshman bassline to fulfill those numbers.

But more than numbers, you help us win....with you, we can beat anyone in the country.

Very happy to have the best WR in college football on my team.

ALSO JAMER.....IT'S GREAT TO HAVE MY FRIEND BACK!
