LANDON JACKSON UPDATE

-Remember how in our last LSU News piece we talked about how we'd been bombarded with hundreds of questions from LSU fans and wanted to get to the bottom of the Landon Jackson silence?

Well....it took us less than 24 hours thankfully.

I spoke with Landon Jackson's father, Larry Jackson, he told me "he's been pushing sleds and working out with the team, bulking up to 275" and "hitting the weight room hard", but he's still "not doing football drills in pads with the team".

Jack Marucci's training staff "tried something 3 weeks ago and his ankle is still not ready for full contact".

The training staff are opting for "caution" and preserving the future for the still extremely young defensive end, especially considering the "rarity of his injury" and what an unreal, productive talent he is.

From Larry Jackson, Landon's father, of course posted with permission:

While he will have to be patient, I know I'm not alone in saying I'm excited to see him take the field, especially considering the talent alongside him on the field and the great coaches (like Andre Carter) on the sidelines.

He's also enjoying his time at LSU thus far, looking to be a true force for some time, whether he plays in 2021 or not.
