By LONN PHILLIPS SULLIVAN
6th year LSU graduate Josh Williams was selected to wear #18, a crowd pleasing decision that was of very little surprise but generated a wild buzz among LSU's fanbase.

Ascending from walk-on to 2019 National Champion, then awarded a scholarship by Ed Orgeron before becoming a starter at the end of 2021, now Josh earns the coveted, highly respected #18 jersey......the right honor for the right player.
J-Dub deserves it all.
The next recipient of #18, on defense, surprised many:
Despite only recently switching from #30 to #3, a tribute to absent brain-tumor stricken teammate Greg Brooks Jr, Kelly awarded veteran linebacker Greg Penn III with another #18 uniform.

It makes sense.....Penn continues to grow as a leader among LSU's locker room, already commanding the respect of his teammates & coaches by how he's handled himself since he arrived in Baton Rouge......but currently, Penn is also one of the Tigers' key defenders on the field as much as he has been all important on the sidelines or meeting rooms.
Harold Perkins was awarded the #7, a jersey he was born to wear at LSU.....joining left tackle Will Campbell as the second #7 on roster.

We will have further analysis on tomorrow evening's show at 6pm central!!!!! On time & at the ready to deliver.
