LSU recruiting has been on fire since Brian Kelly and his hard working staff took over in late 2021, producing three straight top 5 classes for the 2022, 2023 & 2024 cycles.
Already holding the national #2 ranked class for 2025, headlined by the #1 overall QB Bryce Underwood & #1 overall RB Harlem Berry, Head Coach Brian Kelly and his staff just upped their game even more, adding 4 elite commitments (2 for 2025, 2 for 2026) over the past week:
CARIUS CURNE (IOL, 2025)
MARION
The major headline grabber will be LSU earning the commitment of Curne, the #1 overall rated interior offensive lineman in America.
Yet another big time recruiting win from the game's premier OL Boss Brad Davis, Curne strengthens the guard positions, an area on the field where LSU will be losing reliability, availability and consistency over the next few years when Draft-eligible upperclassmen guards Dellinger & Frazier both depart next Spring.
The towering 6 foot 4, 320 pound trench menace from Arkansas chose the Tigers over his home state Razorbacks, flipping sway from his prior Hogs commitment and picking the former Arkansas apprentice (Brad Davis) over his former boss (Sam Pittman) after a visit to Baton Rouge last weekend flipped the script.
LAJESSE HARROLD (EDGE, 2025)
ROBINSON
With his 6'5 length, 230 pound established, moldable steel frame, growing athleticism, alongside fiery, raging pace & power off the edge, there's no wonder LaJesse Harrold is a top 10 edge rushing prospect....but it's also no wonder when Harrold visited Baton Rouge, he wanted to be a Tiger.
Meeting with Broyles Award nominated edge rushing coach Kevin Peoples made him feel LSU was the place where he could maximize his abilities.
Harrold is yet another brilliant young edge rushing force for Blake Baker's defense to add to an ever-expanding arsenal of pass rushing weaponry for the future ahead.
RICHIE ANDERSON (DT, 2026)
EDNA KARR
After a visit to LSU's Friday Night Lights event inside Tiger Stadium, New Orleans native Richie Anderson, the #7 overall prospect out of Louisiana's 2026 class, committed to the Tigers the next day.
Needing to begin stacking talent at the defensive tackle position, DL Coach Bo Davis already has an eye towards the future; Regardless of missing big name portal targets, Coach Davis turned his attention to high school prospects, keeping an elite DT recruiting target in-state.
Anderson is one of my favorite 2026 talents, a player who took over the field during his outrageous sophomore campaign this past fall.
JAKAI ANDERSON (WR/CB, 2026)
MCDONOUGH 35
Yet another New Orleans native committed to LSU this past Saturday, with one of the most explosive 2026 athletes pledging to the Tigers: Jakai Anderson, a versatile speed demon capable of changing games offensively at receiver, or on defense as a blanket-covering dynamic corner.
