LSU ODYSSEY VS HURRICANE IDA: RELIEF RESOURCES & HUMANITY WILL BEAT THE HELL OUTTA IDA

by LONN PHILLIPS SULLIVAN

@LonnPhillips

As Hurricane Ida prepares to touch ground by mid morning on Sunday, with winds of 105 mph, I'm very concerned about Louisiana, specifically my people in Terrebonne, Lafouche (where Coach O is from), and New Orleans plus its surrounding parishes.

Sending LSU's football team to Houston for preparations, the grim reality of a possible bad one coming down is getting clearer by the weather report.

I've had friends hit me up, telling me they're taking off to see family in Texas, some are staying to ride it out, and others are praying for the best, moving not an option and the rest being out of their control.

My heart is beating faster and faster, trying to figure out what I can do to help...and I've already got a slew of ideas, but it's going to require the help of a few people behind the scenes....they're going to need to be willing to give of their time, platform, and curb their personas for the good of Louisiana....that means doing anything we can to help in the aftermath of whatever comes Louisiana's way.

LSU Odyssey kept on Hurricane Laura last year, luckily the damage from Laura wasn't as horrific as first feared, but its turbulent winds and otherworldly pressure ravaged the Lake Charles and Cameron areas, taking just under 20 lives and causing billions of dollars in damage to homes, neighborhoods, and schools including McNeese State.

I am asking for ALL podcasts, ALL hosts to have myself or any other LSU guest on your shows....we can talk LSU as much as you want, but we need to have live stream donations coming in for the best Louisiana post-hurricane resources, not just the American Red Cross, we need specific donations directed straight at the local Louisiana pulse:

THE CAJUN NAVY, a group who have rescued countless lives over their lifespan. They began during the 2016 floods, and since then have become heroes to us all.

If there's a #1 here, it could be these guys.

ALL HANDS, ALL HEARTS, the 4 star rated charity (highest possible rating by Charity Navigator) is one of impeccable history and who have made their funds count.

THE GULF COAST REGIONAL BLOOD CENTER, GIVE BLOOD HERE

REDCROSS.ORG, DONATIONS GOING DIRECTLY TO HURRICANE IDA RELIEF

I love you, Louisiana....you are never alone....

We kept the story going on Laura, long after the attention faded, and we're ready to do the same again.

I feel helpless.........

Reach out to me personally if you need anything and I will try to make it happen.

No one's being left behind.

No one.
