As LSU Odyssey forecasted this past week, the Tigers would sign a punter out of the portal in order to add depth to their room....and, on Memorial Day 2024, it has come to pass:

Former Louisiana Tech red shirt senior Blake Ochsendorf committed to LSU on Monday, immediately elevating Slade Nagle / Bob Diaco's 2024 special teams unit with badly-needed experience following the NFL Draft departure of punter Jay Bramblett.

In his career, Ochsendorf booted 53 career attempts for 45.7 yards per punt (good enough to leave as Louisiana Tech's all time punting average leader), with 18 punts landing inside the 20 and 17 traveling in excess of 50 yards.
