-The offenses ran 19 drives in total, using helmets but no pads, and only touch tackling from defenders.
Sam Leavitt, Whit Weeks, Solomon Thomas and Rich Anderson were the absences, alongside Gabe Reliford out for an extended time period with a torn ACL.
-LSU's defense intercepted 5 passes today (QB Landen Clark tossed 3 while Husan Longstreet threw 2). Up front, defensive linemen Jordan Ross, Jaylen Brown, Princewill Umanmielen, and linebacker TJ Dottery all recorded "sacks", their presence forcing penalties (even from experienced veterans like Jordan Seaton), and plenty of balls to the wall pressure.
-DB Ty Benefield continued his brilliance by picking off a pass (thrown by Clark) today during LSU's scrimmage inside Tiger Stadium.
-2nd year CB Aidan Anding grabbed 2 interceptions, both from Longstreet, jumping routes on both plays, however, while returning the 2nd INT he appeared to hurt his ankle. Anding was seen wearing a walking boot later on, indicating the injury could be at least somewhat of a significant one.
-DB Tamarcus Cooley catches an interception for the 2nd straight practice (from Clark).
-CB PJ Woodland produced 3 PBUs and an INT on Landen Clark.
-LSU's entire 1st and 2nd team secondaries were extremely impressive.
-WR Winnie Watkins was explosive on a trio of plays, headlined by a 95 yard touchdown scamper.
-WR Roman Mothershed made some fine catches, utilizing his massive frame including a touchdown thrown to him by 4th string QB Emile Picarella...the big unit WR continues to dazzle for an extended period during Spring Camp.
-TE Malachi Thomas caught a TD of 73 yards from Landen Clark, making a nice scamper between safety coverage (Faheem Delane, Jhase Thomas) for a home run hitting play. He is your #1 starting in-line tight end (Trey'dez Green is just a pure pass catcher, not necessarily a pure tight end, in my opinion).
-LSU's defense stuffed the offense on numerous occasions, with the 1st team defense (in particular) giving up very little...
-Eric Wolford's interior offensive line had some trouble throughout the day, and the Tigers' D-line performed well, getting the better of the youth and inexperience, maybe even lack of athleticism, at each one of LSU's guard spots.
