Last night vs Louisiana Tech, there were multiple injuries suffered by LSU Tigers.
I've been making calls and hitting up sources all morning, and this is the information we have right now:
BRAELIN MOORE
Even though it looks like the injury won't be as bad as initially thought, LSU center Braelin Moore had his ankle rolled over on just the first play of scrimmage, and is dealing with a confirmed high ankle sprain.
Florida could arrive too early for Moore, but we've seen offensive linemen grit through more serious injuries before....the question will be how much can Moore push off the ankle & how much weight can he place on the sprain....that fact will dictate his availability week to week, but...all things considered, how bad the injury appeared on first glance, an ankle sprain may be the best case scenario.
TREY'DEZ GREEN
Twisted like a pretzel, his lower leg locked under the bodies of fellow players, his shoulder getting rocked as well, the injuries to Trey’Dez Green were nasty and robust....sending him to the floor in agony, then to the sidelines where he was seen wearing a brace on his knee and walking to the locker room postgame with the assistance of crutches.
Immediately, speculation was rampant about ACL tears and "season ending injuries", however I am told the scans indicate a sprain to his knee, with our sources keeping the exact location under wraps, while adding "he will likely miss half or more than half of the season..."
I will wait until receiving full and complete confirmation before reporting this widely, but it looks as if Green narrowly missed a season ending injury....
JIMARI BUTLER
Defensive end Jimari Butler also suffered an injury late in the game, hobbling off the field with help from two trainers.
I do not have any information on what the injury is, but it was obvious the targeted area was in the lower body / lower leg...but i will not speculate further beyond that.
UPDATE: He should be okay after only spending a limited time in the medical tent.
