In the past 24 hours, a couple of shocking videos containing blatant racism arrived online....not from some random dood in the street or some lunatic, but from someone who coaches your kids every day.
These shocking, hate-filled words came from the mouth of a well known Warner Robins, Georgia-located trainer, Mark Taylor:
With strong ties to Georgia, Clemson and Alabama's football programs, Taylor trained local Georgia athletes for his company Speed Edge Training, using his connections to carve out an unofficial handler role in the football recruiting world.
But after videos circulated about his racist disdain for Atlanta, a threat to lynch a woman, a fake hotel phone call where he asks to order women on the menu with some graphic "jokes" made about "throwing a woman off the 14th floor after he's done with her", we don't think he'll be training anyone anytime soon.
Some quotes, while Taylor was speaking to a friend named "Ro", include:
“Ro, look at this n***er trying to pull out right in front of me right here. Do you see that tree right there? Ro will hang you from that tree.”
“I ain’t seen a white person in sight. Homeless ones on the street. Every restaurant looking in here is black. Every car beside them is black. They can have Atlanta.”
At one point, Taylor even mentions "huntin'" in reference to hunting human beings in Atlanta.....
The Macon Telegraph reported that Taylor, who's young clients are 96% black, was previously found guilty of stalking a woman in 2007. The now-embattled trainer was sentenced to probation in 2009.
Later on, Taylor, a friend of both Nick Saban and Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney, was also convicted of making harassing phone calls to his ex-wife, who filed a domestic violence case against him.
