BREAKING From LSUOdyssey.com: 

Last night, Sam Leavitt was listed as "doubtful" on LSU's first initial injury report vs Ole Miss. So, I asked around, and here's what we got: LSU starting QB Sam Leavitt sustained what I'm told is "an upper body injury" vs LA Tech....which is all I was given on the nature of the injury. Leavitt did not practice Wednesday.

(On3's Pete Nakos reported it was a shoulder injury, but I can't confirm that).

However, our source within the program tells us "as of now, he will for sure play" on Saturday.

Tonight, there will be another injury report update; if things continue to trend in this direction (taking time off to allow his injury to heal), I was told "expect to see Leavitt upgraded to questionable" in one of the final injury reports before Saturday.

UPDATE: LSUOdyssey can confirm the "upper body injury" I reported earlier was in fact "a back injury", but he practiced today after missing Wednesday's practice.
