-2024 QB MABREY METTAUER was offered by the Tigers today! Looking like a Trevor Lawrence clone, the 6 foot 5, 215 lb dual threat quarterback out of The Woodlands impressed Jake Peetz, D.J Mangas, and Offensive Analyst Collin D'Angelo among other scouts watching the trials.

LSU offered The Texas Fury's 7 on 7 QB right then and there.

Stay tuned for an LSU Odyssey exclusive interview with the Woodlands QB.

The kid is mature beyond his years.

NEW:

-Mettauer was offered by both Orgeron & Peetz together, and though nothing about an offensive vision has been shared just yet, a high level of comfort is there with the young man calling LSU "a dream school" in a quote to LSU Odyssey.

-Mabrey's teammates from the 7 on 7 team Texas Fury also came along with him to Baton Rouge, and a few of them may just be picking up LSU offers right alongside their quarterback:

-the first Texas Fury teammate of Mabrey's is 2023 Strong Safety CORY HUFF JR, a dynamic DB who not only met his hero Derek Stingley Jr, he also took a photo with Coach Ed Orgeron, received coaching by Daronte Jones, and described the experience to LSU Odyssey as "like a dream come true".

ON DARONTE JONES: "I liked him a lot. I didn't really talk to him that much, but you can tell he was out there to help us. That's the kind of coaches I love to be around."

Huff Jr made no bones about it...

LSU is his "dream school" and the Houston-native did everything he could to make a statement during today's drills.

I expect he'll grab an LSU OFFER in the days ahead, while another camp performance may raise that bar to an even higher echelon.

-Another Fury teammate 2023 ATH Jalen "J2" Menny excited the room as he took part in skills workouts, receiving special one on one attention from Coach Ed Orgeron himself.

ON LSU, COACH O & POTENTIAL OFFERS:

"I hope so I really do, 100%. It'll be a dream come true. I got Coach O's number."

WILL an OFFER follow???

We shall see but the signs thus far are just as promising as Menny's on field repertoire, versatile to his core and capable of playing a variety of positions on both sides of the ball.

-2023 WR OMARION "O" MILLER receives his offer today, according to Mike Scarborough.

The elite North Caddo standout receiver posted 27.8 yards per catch as a freshman from 29 receptions.

Miller is an aerial weapon who possesses the necessary jump-ball skills & after-burning pace, line of scrimmage physicality, and stamina throughout his route trajectories required as an elite SEC wide receiver.

O is well on his way.

-LSU offers KEYLAN MOSES ATH (RB/LB) from University Lab; of course, he's also the younger brother of former Bama LB Dylan Moses. Keylan looked stout and frenetic out there, though his raw abilities still have plenty of room to mature.

I see a strong future in the U-Lab breakout and I believe Blake Baker will only have a more influential impact with time.

Still, there is history and family legacy at Alabama....

Keylan Moses is just as tough as trying to haul in Trevor Etienne....Alabama and Clemson are going to fight tooth and nail to keep both for obvious "territorial" / egotistical reasons that don't involve the young man's own choice.

Let Keylan choose, we'll see then.

-2022 WR commit DECOLDEST CRAWFORD set off some fireworks of his own during the camp, zooming around with unshakeable route trajectories, unbreakable hands in the air and the kind of afterburner pace that reminds me a little of Justin Jefferson's slow-burning jet fuel (meaning....Justin seems to pause, read what's going on around him, and then suddenly he's just gone....DeColdest shows off that same intriguing burst potential).

The future Kingpin of LSU's 2022 WR corps.

-Lafayette Christian Academy's Fitzgerald West Jr is a young man who's adept along both sides of the line of scrimmage. When given a chance to play guard, Fitzgerald showed out hardcore, handling pressures with dexterous ease and displaying frenetic arms, strong hands and a finesse physique capable of playing at speed.

He also pulled off a pulsating spin move which left everyone in the vicinity gasping, and for his own swagger, West Jr yelled "THEY CAN'T DO NOTHIN WITH ME!"

Somewhere, Sage Ryan is very excited for his former (potentially future) teammate.

It wasn't just the move, it was how he became quicker during the move.

Expect an LSU commitment from Fitzgerald West Jr....everything fits.

He enjoyed his time on campus and with coaches, while his swagger is perfectly primed for LSU.

-2023 RB Trey Holly is owning at LSU's camp today, illustrating his physical nature out wide as much as in the backfield, blasting a covering LB to the ground as if he were a pillar of sand, sitting him down.

Holly is currently a 4 star out of Union Parish, Louisiana, born and raised in Farmerville.

Already holding an offer from Kevin Faulk, we wonder:

Could Holly be the first 2023 commit??

WE BELIEVE HE WILL BE.

-2022 RB Le'Veon Moss out of Istrouma High has shockingly committed to Alabama!

This comes as a spell-binding, blind-siding commitment....Moss visited LSU and Alabama both, but at the end of the day, Pete Golding's "blood-covered dagger & warhorse" recruiting spree continues to steal should-be Tigers away from LSU.

Moss was a shoe-in Tiger for our 2022 predictions list...but this development is the first warning to all in college football....This recruiting cycle will be anything but predictable.
