LSU will welcome Indiana DT Philip Blidi to campus for a visit on April 10th, 11th and 12th, spending an extended 3 days to take in all of what the Tigers (and DL Coach Bo Davis) has to offer.
Blidi was a prospect out of New Mexico's Portales High school, ranked the #1 talent out of New Mexico as a 3 star. He was picked up by Texas Tech as part of the 2019 recruiting cycle, making his debut during the 2020 campaign for 5 games as a freshman and 24 total (29 tackles, 6.5 TFLs, 2 sacks, 16 pressures over 608 snaps).

Then, after a 3rd season in 2022, Blidi played at Indiana last fall, ranking as their 3rd overall defender on Pro Football Focus (30 tackles, 4 TFLs, 1 PBU, and 15 pressures throughout 2023 alone, a marked improvement over his prior 3 seasons).
Will he be a difference maker if he signs with the Tigers?

Blidi has the best chance of any early Davis move....and I'm intrigued by his film, showcasing a venomous, angry drive and propulsive motor within the trenches.
It's not about what he's done before, the question you must ask yourself: What can Bo Davis do with Blidi????
I'd say plenty.
Another thing: Blidi has a young baby and is already married....he will be playing for a higher purpose.
LSU is the perfect place for Philip's young family and his NFL development. I'd be stunned if the Tigers fail to bring in the New Mexico born DT.

He has many suitors. I would consider him a long shot were it not for Coach Davis. I still feel it is less than 50%.
