SEC ANNOUNCES A VOTE ON THURSDAY TO BAN LSU FROM THE CONFERENCE

On Monday, the SEC added an amendment to their already existing lawsuit against LSU's Head Coach, President, Athletic Director, and 13 member board of supervisors, with new enhanced complaints, an allegation of "lack of institutional control" due to Lane Kiffin's halftime comment "imagine if we had pro players...", and the most concerning of all, a scheduled Thursday vote to expel LSU from the SEC conference....

It is incredible how deep and how far this has gone, but also how hypocritical the actions of the SEC have become, whether they follow through on these threats or not, everything from Commissioner Greg Sankey and the other 15 member schools has been egregious in its blatant hypocrisy:

The new amendment reads: "Defendants (LSU) waged a deliberate and coordinated campaign to recruit professional athletes to play football for LSU during the 2026-27 season, including players who had signed NFL contracts with the Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers."

Later in the filing, the SEC assert "LSU and Kiffin began an orchestrated campaign to recruit professional athletes to join LSU’s football roster for the 2026-27 season.”

"Despite the SEC’s longstanding rules prohibiting professional athletes from returning to college athletics, Defendants (LSU) saw this as an opportunity to be exploited. They began an orchestrated campaign to recruit professional athletes to join LSU’s football roster for the 2026-27 season.”

It continues: "Defendants (LSU) have continued their campaign to engage in willful efforts to recruit and soon roster professional athletes in direct defiance of the Professionalism Rules. This conduct is detrimental to the Conference and contrary to its core purpose. Defendants’ conduct has already harmed the Conference and threatens to cause further substantial harm if not curbed.”

So on Thursday, original founding member school LSU will face an unforeseen, unthinkable, uncharted vote for expulsion from the SEC Conference.

I spoke to around 20 of my most trusted sources since this broke our way on Monday, and I've been sorting the pieces together and wondering when It would leak via the SEC offices....and we didn't have to wait long...

The second LSU routed Alabama's 1990 National Championship hero Dabo Swinney, the favorite Huckleberry son of the non-SEC "gentile" schools, the second Sankey took a bludgeoning on the stand in Baton Rouge, the second he witnessed Kiffin burying three pointers on the sidelines of an active primetime game, after all of the insanity, stress, and headlines of the past year concerning Kiffin, there's an obvious hatred from the SEC towards Lane and LSU that's now devolved into an intense fear....

A source on the Ole Miss staff told me, "The (SEC member schools) think Lane is making a mockery of the sport."

Another SEC brass member from a school inside the old SEC West warned: "Brother, this is no nothingburger, they have the votes."

"We hate that son of a bitch," one SEC coach (from a team i wouldn't call a direct rival) told us.

An SEC media overlord with 55 years of experience, with great connections in and around Birmingham and Atlanta, told us a lot. However, the part that stuck out most was this last quip:

"....I think they want to make an example of LSU, not just because they're afraid of 'em, but to punish AD Verge Ausberry for hiring Lane Kiffin."

"He's very much looked at as 'Satan', by these people..." came another text on our phone. "But let's not lie to ourselves, the guy outcoaches everybody except Saban and Kirby...Saban ain't here anymore and Kirby is a 2 year flash in the pan......there's a...no pun intended...open lane right now...."

This is about primal fear from the SEC....

They saw what LSU perpetrated on that field Saturday night....

They witnessed and watched in stunned, "i wish I could be that motherfucker!!!" awe, and turned to each other, spilling mint Julips and loose viagra all over the den as they point and bellow at each other through gritted teeth ready for a God-gnashing: "WE CAN'T LET HIM GET AWAY WITH THIS!!!!"

While many will tell you this is all posturing by the SEC, it might not be....

This is a conference who allowed Cam Newton to win a BCS National Championship & Heisman for Auburn while all sorts of heavily illegal violations took place that would've made him ineligible in almost any other college football conference, let alone any other sport....

This is a conference that allowed Alabama to play a 3 year professional for 5 games until the NCAA finally shut it all down....

This is a conference that currently has schools like Texas, Alabama, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, and Kentucky who've all broken significant eligibility rules (including breaking the 4th wall that rules even existed, violating the same exact "pro players" path as LSU, defying the SEC in a far more expansive and drastic fashion), yet none of these schools received any punishment whatsoever...

But when it concerns LSU, the SEC never make any exceptions....allowances or forgiveness...the Tigers have been harshly punished by the NCAA more than most SEC schools, often on dubious grounds and receiving zero conference backing.

And for the final time....LSU didn't even place either one of these two players on the roster, let alone play them....

Texas with Cole Hutson, for a quick example, actually broke the rule, rostered him, and then played him...all as the Longhorns' Head Coach calls the current situation in college football "immoral", before subsequently blaming and castigating LSU in the same breath as he sheepishly admits Texas will play a former pro themselves....

Meanwhile, LSU's most important leaders are all being sued by the SEC, and those same member schools (who broke the rules themselves) will vote in less than 48 hours and decide whether Louisiana State University will be potentially expelled.

No, this isn't The Twilight Zone....

But it very well could be a college football Truman Show we're witnessing....as if the whims of politicians, ultimate "money over humans" college football brass, and paid-for-say media buttheads must be honored as law going forward....

College football is going to a dark place, and LSU's Head Coach Lane Kiffin not only exposed its darkest realities, Kiffin and the events of the past year or two also exposed the SEC's own complete lack of institutional control...no ability to enforce their own rules to the point they're crawling all over the marble and blood soaked halls of congress to fix the whole mess...

Yet somehow, some way, LSU is the #1 enemy and primordial problem facing college football, like the asteroid from Armageddon???

Last week, I posted the reality that LSU might need to leave the SEC.

At the time, so many were angry....

Today, I would say 55% of the fanbase likely agrees with LSU needing to leave the SEC and forge a path forward as an independent school, college franchise, or whatever the hell we'll be calling it by 2029.
