-Freshman OL Solomon Thomas broke his metatarsal and will be out for a month, Brian Kelly confirmed
-There were plenty of rotations within the wide receiving corps, with Brian Kelly pointing that out: "We have eight SEC, high caliber receivers, it's 1A, 1B, we're going to be rolling guys in and out, it's as deep as I've ever had..."
-WR Destyn Hill caught eyes with multiple one handed catches & surprised many as a key target for Nussmeier, at least on this day. Meanwhile, both WR Barion Brown & Chris Hilton showcased their downfield prowess with contested catch bombs over the top of sticky coverage.
-Head Coach Brian Kelly was extremely bullish on sophomore DT Dominick McKinley, saying "we ran out of weights for him to max squat..." in complete disbelief over his strength & power, saying "he will play a big role for us this year..."
-WR Nic Anderson held out of wearing pads, but still participated lightly. The team is continuing to err on the side of caution following Anderson's concussion from a car accident nearly 2 weeks ago.
-Freshman WR TaRon Francis, a personal favorite, made the best catch of the entire day (on 5 star CB DJ Pickett no less), making sure his name won't be buried among the heap of receiving talent at LSU.
-TEs Coach Alex Atkins was working with Bauer Sharp + Donovan & Trey'Dez Green on kickout blocking concepts. They all did well and looked stout enough, and overall have improved enough for both Greens to surprise a few.
-QB Garrett Nussmeier did NOT miss a single target throughout the media's 45 minute viewing period, including drills.

-Tamarcus Cooley is likely to start at safety due to this reason: just as we suspected in many shows this offseason, Cooley drops down from safety into nickel, keeping Perkins inside & around the box....allowing Blake Baker to still utilize Perkins as a pass rushing presence.
-Patrick Payton grabbed a sack after breaking through & beyond freshman Carius Curne.
