As the site reported nearly a week ago via Twitter and detailed in yesterday's subscriber update, former Ohio State CB Sevyn Banks is nearing his arrival at the real DBU.
The Tigers were already looking for a cornerback in the portal before losing former Oklahoma State transfer CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse to a foot fracture during Spring practice, news LSU Odyssey subscribers found out first, but now a new arrival is paramount.
Good thing the Tigers were already jumping on Banks once he hit the portal, even logging an extensive weekend visit with the Buckeyes' former National Championship runner-up.
Sevyn Banks watched a full practice, met some NFLSU luminaries, enjoyed dinner and lengthy discussions with LSU's coaching staff, led by Robert Steeples and Brian Polian, and from my sources rooted within the program, I can tell LSU Odyssey subscribers that Banks will be a Tiger as soon as he can be admitted & become eligible.
While things may be more uncertain regarding OL Steen, all is looking well for LSU boosting their CBs room with veteran depth when they need it more than ever.
