OUR 1000TH ARTICLE EXTRAVAPHANTASM!!

by LONN PHILLIPS SULLIVAN

@LonnPhillips

Back in 2018 when I started this venture from the unknown denizens of uninterruptedsportsodyssey.blogspot.com, a torn and frayed format for a writer with many rough edges to smooth out, I had no idea where it would lead.....maybe, in many ways, i still don't....but that's half the fun of doing anything of worth, isn't it?

Usually, as you've seen in our articles of the past, whenever we reached a milestone we incorporated it into our coverage, almost as an afterthought....but I think....at 1,000 articles now published on lsuodyssey.com and over 31 Tigers articles from our first blog setting, it is a call to take stock of where we are, all we've learned and thank so many who've helped this thing get off the ground and still help on a daily basis.

First of all, without an understanding, supportive or encouraging partner in crime (Chelsea), maybe the tedious process wouldn't feel worth it on the worst days....without a great support group of family and friends who've read, watched, liked, shared and spread the word while offering their best advice and council, maybe I would've been lost years ago....

The resolute facts are that I am lucky....extremely fortunate to have people around me who've fought for my work, believed in it, subscribed for it, even taking the time to read or watch it during your very busy day is beyond humbling:

Because of your belief, I now have a responsibility to deliver the utmost ultimate in LSU / college football content, and I take that very seriously.

Throughout the 4 years I've been growing LSU Odyssey, I've had the pleasure to get to know and speak with many amazing people, from getting to know many Tigers and their families, former NFL and college stars, top recruits / their families, or high school, college and even professional coaches, it's been a wild ride from first moment to last, article #1 to article #1,000.....and there are no signs of slowing down whatsoever.

In fact, this train is just getting heated up....

We enjoyed one of our greatest ever months in May and set site statistical records....still, we are a long way from the finished product, probably.

Regardless, why not call attention to the 1,000th piece....hell, just for the sake of symmetry; Below, I take you on a kaleidoscopic tour through some of the choice moments of LSU Odyssey's past:

It was not until this moment when I finally began to fully trust my abilities. When someone in your profession, who you look up to, admire and respect, not only digs what you're doing but gets it, you start to believe...

Here's the article in question, THE GREATEST 30 MINUTES after the 2019 Peach Bowl.
