Only 10 days left until Tristan Leigh and Korey Foreman make their announcements, both coming on January 2nd on NBC during the "All-American Game" 2021 documentary...
Since the game itself was canceled, its wild intensity will be carried over into a documentary special in which OL Tristan Leigh out of Fairfax, Virginia will announce his future before the eagerly anticipating college football world.
But does he already have a decision in mind?
I'll tell you.
It's not as clear cut....
Since everyone was shouting "OU!" from the mountaintops only a week ago, the heat for Riley's side has cooled due to his ambitious reach for Auburn boosters or his obsession with the Dallas Cowboys job.
Though the reality is, Tristan is having such a hard time making this choice between LSU, Florida, Ohio State and Oklahoma....although I can tell you there's a heavy potential for a "silent frontrunner":
"His family will be glad when the process is over and he figures out where he wants to go," said a close member of the Leigh camp.
When I asked his mother Laura about a potential lean she said, "no he's kept me away from it, it's annoying," she chuckled.
LONN: Do you think he's leaning anywhere right now?
LAURA: No-He’s still trying to figure it out.
LONN: There was a lot of talk concerning his girlfriend enrolling to UCF. Geaux247, Rivals etc so many outlets have reported that she'll be going to Florida for school, is that false?"
LAURA: She doesn’t know where she’s going yet either- she applied to UCF.
I took a step back about a month ago and told him to start over with his top six.
I arranged Zoom calls & we asked a lot of questions.
We went to the two games of the teams we hadn’t seen play (Florida & OU) and that's it- I’ve stayed out of it.
I don’t want to influence him in any direction.
LONN: You're a rare parent (much like Rashad & DeAndra Davis).
LAURA: Thanks -well I realized when all the stuff happened with LSU that I was pushing him in that direction without realizing it-
I told LSU I was backing off too-
I want to let it be his decision.
LONN: LSU should've hired you as a recruiting coordinator cause I could feel he was on his way. Now, it seems all options are on the table.
LAURA: (Laughs) He loves LSU so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s them.
